There was an ever-present theme in our weekend: Love + Respect
Friday night and Saturday morning, husband and I heard all about this topic at the Love & Respect Marriage Conference up in Allen, TX. Dr. Emerson Eggerichs' did a wonderful job reminding me of my husband's felt need for respect; and also sharing with him my need for love. (If you are married and have not read this book, please do it!)
But, there was love and respect outside of the conference, as well. Love, for Valentine's Day, the movie, shopping without breaking my spending hiatus, the cute book/gift shop, dichos, and dinner at Zea Woodfire Grill.
...And Respect, for Olympic athletes (how cool/scary is ski cross?), for my father, who is moving back to Virginia this week, and Walmart (for staying open late and stocking cupcakes -- or is that love..?)
What did you have love or respect for this weekend?
PS. Picture-free weekend means I was having a really good time.
I heard that was a great conference!
