if god had wanted to set this past weekend on a never-ending repeat, i don't think i'd complain -- it was just that wonderful! it was the perfect mixture of work & play and relaxation & progress, a balance of which i claim no expertise. but somehow, this weekend, everything fell in line.
i was able to skip out of work early on friday, thanks to my late night on thursday, and get a much needed haircut. kristin, with halo, and i had a wonderful conversation about relationships and commitment, as she beautified my locks. later on, i headed to the movies (bounty hunter) with my new haircut and my hot husband. simple date nights (food court & flicks) are quite possibly my favorite.
saturday i woke up full of energy and ready to embrace our goal of finishing our backyard re-design project [more on this later]. husband headed out to the stone and rock supplier, while i ventured around for the softer outdoor elements -- pillows, cushion slipcovers and plants. midway through my errands, i noticed i was loosing steam. i needed motivation, a deadline.

the best way to complete a lingering project? throw a party! one mass text message later, we were hosting tapas y vino in our backyard at 7:30 pm ...and we did, and it was blissful!
like i said, the weekend was just perfect. i can't imagine any better. however, thursday i'm headed down to round top for some major junkin' with my mom -- can't wait!
Sounds like a fabulous weekend! What did you think of Bounty Hunter? I can't wait to see the pics of your backyard re-do!
