There are many things in this world for which I take for granted. This year, the changing seasons is not one of them. After 20+ consecutive days of over-100-degree weather here in Dallas, I am extremely grateful for the coming of Fall. I am craving thick and hearty soups, the smell of leather and cheer of touchdowns and interceptions. Dallas will not really see the changing colors of the leaves and the weather could still be in the 90's at our homecoming football game next month -- but, that won't keep me from wearing my suede boots and baking pumpkin bread.

The Les Khakis de Chanel collection. My girlfriends and I celebrated Fashion's Night Out last weekend at the Dallas Chanel store in Highland Park Village. We each received complimentary manicures from the new collection. Khaki Rose (middle) was definitely a hit!

Tommy Hilfiger's Fall 2010 campaign, Ultimate Tailgating, makes miss my college days of boulevarding (SMU's version of tailgating). I can't wait until Homecoming [also, my 5-year reunion, ahh!]
Until then, our house will be cheering on the VA Tech Hokies, Texas Longhorns, SMU Mustangs, oh yes! and the Washington Redskins! No Dallas Cowboys fans here.
